My Love of Photography started as a child, I remember admiring Ansel Adams gorgeous black and white prints that we're everywhere growing up. Then I discovered a local photographer, John Fielder of Colorado! I fell in love with his photographs! Flipping through his many books for hours..good memories =)
I can also remember 'borrowing' my Dad's 35mm Canon ..it was a trade for his barbering svcs. and he didn't even know how to use it! I had to show him how, when he wanted to use it! lol... and of course I was always...

My Love of Photography started as a child, I remember admiring Ansel Adams gorgeous black and white prints that we're everywhere growing up. Then I discovered a local photographer, John Fielder of Colorado! I fell in love with his photographs! Flipping through his many books for hours..good memories =)
I can also remember 'borrowing' my Dad's 35mm Canon ..it was a trade for his barbering svcs. and he didn't even know how to use it! I had to show him how, when he wanted to use it! lol... and of course I was always shooting in black & white...My parents couldn't understand why either, lol... Oh man, I just loved taking it to the local park and taking photos of anything and everything..Trees! I Love trees and foliage. Taking friends 'class photos' for continuation! lol..another good memory..I also had a barbershop set up in our garage at 13! but that's another story..good memory, lol, wish I had the camera then!
soooo...in 2005 and at 41 years old.. Myself and Familia as a whole decided to move to the mountains of our native Colorado! And now find my Blessed Self living a-top of a beautiful mountain, almost 10,000ft high, with a panoramic view of Mt. Evans! Surrounded by 3 national parks/forrests! And best of all at least an hours drive to Denver!..Hence my retierment!
Wondering whats next for myself.. I had given up my 'Gift'...so I started snapping photos of Other subjects... that weren't My Grandson! lol..well I Found My Passion and fell in Love all over again with Photography! and...another 'gift' that I have been blessed with.. a pretty good eye!? ..well I think so anyway..lol..I'm a Lucky Gal =)
I Still Love my black and white, but have also discovered Sunsets!! Amazing Sunsets...those just won't do without the 'technicolor' an Wildlife is abundant as well.. I've also made many 'critter/feathered friends! lol, and I love shooting my birds and lil 'squirrelys'...And I discovered Macro Photography and have been havin fun with that too! infact I'd like to persue that a bit more..but.. at the moment I'm using a lil point and shoot, which is okay...for vacation! lol..I'm Ready to take the big step into the DSLR world and cannot wait!
What I really enjoy about Photography as a whole..is making history..literally every time I take a photograph and print it or post it! for me, It's like a postcard for that 'hard' drive that we call our Brain! for the admirer of any particular photograph, We as Photographers are, as a whole, Creating their history!...A Forever memory..It doesn't even have to be a photograph of a particular 'event' or even signifigance..that's the beauty of it!...If just one of My Photographs touches just one person, then I have succeeded in creating their History. like a postcard to file away in their brain for later reference!.. making a 'forever memory'..that's making History! It's alot of what inspires Me and Drives me to seek out that next 'Moment'....it's my moment..my chance to make History!
